I know, life is sometimes pretty confusing and you often can’t see the forest through the trees. I am here to help. I’ve accrued a pretty unique set of skills through the years that allow me to be a particularly effective therapist.
First the practical side. I have a fifteen year history of working in the healthcare field, so I have a pretty good background in hard science. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Naropa in Contemplative Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work with a certificate in Interpersonal Trauma from the University of Denver. I also have a Certificate in Family Mediation, I have completed classes for Addiction Counseling and I am working with EAGALA and Natural Lifemanship towards their certification.
Then the good stuff. I am a professional tarot reader of many years experience (“Fix your life in 20 minutes for 20 dollars”). I love that, and the outfits are to die for. I have also studied Shamanism through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and graduated from their two year program. Since then I have traveled to three continents to study with indigenous healers. The latest foray was to Siberia.
My husband and I live on a small ranch with dogs, foster dogs, a grumpy old cat, horses, miniature cattle, a goat, chickens, and a yak named Pema Chodron.
How am I here? I’m finally what I wanted to be when I was a kid. I have a rich, colorful history with the academic credentials and life experience which make me a bonafide therapist.
